Generation 1 My Little Pony named Piggy Pocket from the 80’s Lil’ Pocket line redesigned/crafted into a generation 3 pony figure remixed in a “going to county fair” theme.

A lot of the details used on this are one of a kind, so if I were commissioned to do another, I could make it look similar but probably never the same.

To achieve a fair theme, I worked around key components of accessories such as caramel apples, a blue prize ribbon, stuffed animal, ride bracelet, and a carousel-inspired accessory around the chest, and hair adornments that have a colorful fair ride vibe.

Pony base is a custom engineered pose I came up with from two different generation 3 ponies. Coated the body and head in gesso so the acrylic paints would have a texture to bond to.

Full body repaint job in light powder blue acrylics, eyes painted loosely based off of Piggy Pocket, with her eyecolor but style of my own. Green and purple butterfuly & flowers cutie mark painted around the pig.

All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane & tail re-rooted in recycled blue curly hair from another generation 3 pony, front of the mane is rooted in dusty rose neutral pink nylon mlp hair from dollyhair.

Accessories-

Started with the pig pocket. Cut its shapes from beige leather, and painted it in 4 shades of pink and coral red acrylics. Then painted a real penny purple with lavender lettering, sealed it in mod podge then Krazy glued a silver cord connecting from the pig’s feet to the penny and penny goes in and out of the pig like a bank. Embellished this cutie mark by Krazy glueing miniature pennies and dimes around the pig, which were purchased from a craft store.

Crafted the “Fair ride pass” bracelet from yellow leather, details painted in acrylics, sealed in mod podge.

Then crafted the blue prize ribbon from a yellow button, painted the edge of it in blue acrylics, stitched wide blue ribbon I cut to the back of the button, glued a gold flat rhinestone for the middle and painted letters in acrylics spelling out “Fair prize”.

Collar piece- green and white wide striped ribbon I cut and shaped, then stitched. Layered dark teal, and some pale blue zigzag ribbons then stitched beads dangling to give a carousel effect.

Beads in hair are all given life by being shaped by floral wire, pinned into the scalp then pins sealed with mod podge. Beads repeated on tail with a fuzzy pink bear and blue fabric rose Krazy glued in place.

Caramel apples crafted specially for this piece. Took 2 red plastic apple beads and painted them in acrylics to resemble caramel dip, sealed in mod podge.

Wired long silver beads for the sticks, wrapped white hemp cord around one of the sticks then finished by tieing yellow/aqua ribbons at the “stems”.

The large yellow moon/banana/horn-shaped beads on the back of the head are antique, and the last of my supply. Don’t know how or if I’ll be able to get ahold of them again~

Same with the pink bear, the yellow bead I used for the prize ribbon, and the dangling blue earring on chain. Those pieces I think for sure are one of a kind pieces used on this, so those details could be expected to be varied on future replica requests of this design.

Same with the miniature coins- not sure if craft store still has those~ but would have fun hunting them down.
