How do you keep displayed ponies from getting dusty? Lambswool and swiffer dusters just don't get clean enough for me. I have to move, wipe, and vacuum all about 1000 each week. Has anyone tried canned air? Do you think it would just destroy their hair styles?

I wipe them down with a cloth when I remember to do so. I'm terrible about dusting.

But if they get too dusty, it's a quick rinse under the faucet.

:surprisepony: :unsure:I don't remember when I dusted my ponies last. I have too many castle and a princess in each one LOL.

Well I keep mine in a cabinet so, I don't have this issue, but my petites get dusty and I wash them.

I do have my besties in a case and they don't need dusting. ;)

I would have too many to wash so im thinking of heavy curtians and lots of shelving units I also have 2 glass cases. Theres a method to my madness.

My collection is small, so just a rag and water for me. (Not that I dust regularly!! I feel bad, because my dad had to spend the night in my room while I was at a sleepover once (my mom needs nearly 24 hour care and they no longer share a room. Long story.) and said the dust made him cough a lot.) I would think canned air would just move the dust around, not get them clean, so I wouldn't try it myself. I've wondered if a vacuum with an attachment would be faster, but since ponies are plastic and have a shape to them, I don't this this would actually work!

I've tried my vacuum. It's great for the displays, but murder on manes and tails.

Might be good for pony mohawks that you want to restore. :p

Do a shelf a week from now til eternity?:winkpony:

I've just finished cleaning all my 700+ ponies, it took me a couple of years. I was photographing them all for my catalogue. But shortly after we moved 4 years ago I realized that my G3s had never been cleaned since I bought then mib. 10 years of dust!
