This is the first custom I ever tried and kind of went overboard. It's of my dragoness character, with regular acrylic paint and sculpy parts that I baked seperatly and tried to seal on with glue and wads of sticky paint. The results were way too lumpy but I learned a lot. I used two Bowties at bait and the hair of both went on the dragoness. I used odds and ends in my craft drawer for these but when I can afford to, I want to stock up on better model paint and doll clay.

I've also got to find a better place to take photos

This is a pony for bery_mew of her wolf character, Katana! I used restore doll glow in the dark and Hi Ho Silver.

hey thoes are really cool, i think you did a really good job.

Usualy when i bake stuff i just leave it on the pony and throw the pony in the oven with it :)atleast then even if it falls off later it's formed the correct way :)

Very cute customs! I love the dragoness. :D but I'm a big fan of dragons, hee hee.

I think you did a great job with her! My only critique is the addition of pony hair coming out of the tip of the dragon tail. I think I know what you were trying for (a furry tail tip like asian dragons sometimes have) but, it just doesn't look right.

If in the future you do some fixing-up here are my suggestions: either leave the dragon tail fur-less, or try making the tip of the tail as small as possible. So that the hair meld with the tip and looks more like it is growing from it and not sprouting out of it.

Eh...sorry if my descriptions weren't all that good. I know how hard it is to work with sculpy and that you can't bake hair. Heh. Which would be the best way. Also, I do not mean for any of my comments to be hurtful! Promise!

*glomphs* Dragoness is a cutie I want one! :D

For being your first try it's amazing!

I think you did a wonderfull job. I would never be able to do that, that's for sure =P

actually its safer to bake it seperately because the pony's plastic has toxic fumes that let out when its baked in the oven. People can get very ill that way.

Aww for some reason I really really love the rose and the matching bright red bow. Beautiful customs- If I ever try a custom, I doubt they will ever turn out so nice  Can't wait to see more ^^

Yeah, I know what you mean. The tail was thinner at the end but it broke off when I tried forcing the hair through the hallow tail and it was worse before I filed it down. My character has a tuft of hair at the end of her tail, so it was worth a try ^_~
