Does anyone wonder what your last pony purchase will be?

Did someone corrupt my thread with junky, sickening, filth?:D Man I missed it too.

If net neutrality repeal passes, I can tell you what my last pony sale online will be

Sorry comment posted twice Dx

What is the net neutrality appeal?

There is going to be a vote on December 14th to end a internet rule for the free web. Net neutrality is what stops Telecom companies from charging us extra just to view websites, and slowing down/blocking their competitors websites

In other countries that have no net neutrality, websites are sold off in packages and you have to pay a lot extra to view websites that are not included in the package

It's like DirecTV and pay-to-play games

It sucks really really hard

Pretty much if you view a site outside of the packages you pay for, you could get a message that says "in order to view this site, you have to pay this monthly rate!"

I did hear about that. I think it's very anti freedom of everything that we like here in America. It's definitely going to make life even worse for those of us who can barely keep internet as it is. I'm not a fan of trump.

People wonder why I pay attention to news so much, it's because I'm trying to protect freedoms such as being able to use the internet, healthcare and schooling

I've been writing my senators nonstop and have contributed to saving healthcare atleast twice so far

Back on topic though, I think I'll most likely have to disappear off the internet entirely if the repeal of net neutrality passes. My mom sells purebred cats too and her entire customer base is people who find her website and email her... so this can screw her up too

If things end up as bad as they could, I'll likely have to do a close-out sale of my customs after December 20th or so

And that'll be the last pony thing I sell online unless the internet gets taken back by citizens

I can no longer shop online too, and I've done majority of my Christmas shopping online entirely so far x.x

Found toys of video game characters my son watches on Youtube, and I probably couldn't have found them anywhere else

Thank goodness for people like you.
I'm terrible about watching the news. Our local news is only about Portland OR and I live in Vancouver WA so really could care less about Portland. It seems that since broadcast tv essentially disappeared for me, I'm terrible about keeping up with anything except local elections news and presidential election. I don't seek out news online because I don't trust it and I've never read the paper. :( again the Portland paper. If this passes it will destroy so many lives.

A side note: also sad because then I'll never get to buy some of your ponies.

Yeah I do a lot of fact checking on social media then when I visit family, their live news says the same stuff I've been reading about

So I've been keeping up with it mostly on social media, but I outsource to confirm. Taking the internet away, obviously will help silence those trying to prevent the overhaul of the U.S. too

If you want to try and help stop the FCC's attack on Net Neutrality, anyone who sees this post can text "resist" to 50409 and a resist bot will give you information to contact your local representatives, and pretty much raising hell and hoping for the best is the only thing that can stop this from happening.

The more people who tell their representatives to help stop the repeal of Net Neutrality, the better!

My husband and I texted that number and it pulled up 4 contacts of senate and governors.

I am not too concerned about any of this actually happening. I tend to just sit back and watch things fade away. People get all upset about stuff that never happens. If it does you can throw a fakie my direction. I just don't think so. My reasoning is first of all it makes no sense to do this. Money should be spent to deal with the dark side of the internet that is harming our children. Now that is what we need to be worried about. I am already paying a ridiculous amount for internet. I am one of these that would like to go back to the 1970s when you actually called a friend and wrote a letter. I love my internet, but I miss those days so much.
