Does anyone wonder what your last pony purchase will be?

Ah Tula, this is such a good question and I have also pondered this! Sometimes I start to think I already have too many and it's time to stop.. but of course if I see some at a thrift store or a garage sale I just can't help myself (especially if the price is really good). BUT my biggest concern is also the degradation, there are things that I have bought in pristine condition, put away in a box somewhere only to open it up a few years later and the plastic has totally changed colour. This is for stuff that's 30 years old, what will it be like in another 30? Will the demand for g1s still be there? Will we all still be collecting? Part of the fun is that we all have stuff that we know other people would love to have right? So that gives it an extra special value to it... but everything can change. I also feel like I am a minimalist at heart trapped in the body of a hoarder, so sometimes I wonder if I should just sell everything and travel (but of course I am too attached to my collection to actually do that).

Ha ha @cutekitten I keep telling R2 we need to get one of those fancy RV's put the pets in it and leave town forever. I certainly would not have room for lots of ponies. I bought a G1 pony in mint condition and now she has regrind. I will never see the money back I put into that one. I have a feeling this is going to happen to many of them. Sigh. Yes this community of collectors will change. Life will change and who knows where we are going to be in 30 years. So perhaps now we should contemplate what we will all be like in 30 years. This would be funny. For me most likely I will be rolling instead of walking, full of wrinkles and gray hair and trying to remember "now what was that toy I collected again?"

I so have been there.. with a pony or two. For me its when you go into knowing they have flaws and expect it thats so different from buying almost mint ponies. I hate when its a pony you really love. :( it makes it more painful. I also find that im getting more picky I hate to see myself at 80. I probably will be complaining about a small rub or a small dot.

Yea well see this is kind of how my mind works. I love morbid and sad which translates to funny. Perhaps Pinkie Pie has a friend named Maggot from the Land of the Dead. Beware of ponies bringing boxes full of skeletons that come alive and turn into characters from Deathship is Magic. Or maybe she was just electrocuted and has come back as Frankinpinkie.
Ology Oldest sister Haunted Dolly lives in a place called La Isla del pony (GUESS WHERE THIS CAME FROM AND GET A COOKIE) . She make Voodoo pony dolls. Guess what she hang up on trees.MAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA

I have been taking old ponies and redoing them to make Cuddle ponies for people. Just cause a pony is old and worn its still got a lot of love to offer.

Will you be pulled by a team full of Japanese Chins? Or a team of robotic flying pegasus?

Oh most definitely a team of Japanese Chins!!! My dream is to be surrounded by Japanese Chins. I would like to own like 10 or so at a time. The only problem is Yuki will have a problem with any other animal sharing my lap. What ever will he do if 9 more dogs take his snoozy spot?

Go the Himalayas to study Paw-rate' and unleash his tiny Paws of Fury on their hairy butts.

If Yuki disliked Halloween goblins in the yards and now seems to hate Scarecrows too what is he going to do when Santa shows up? Would he like real ponies because, I want a miniature horse so bad.

I may have made my last purchase already.

That is rather depressing if you ask me. :(
Yeah, but I do know I have some Argentine ponies being restored that will come home to me. The wonderful @Ology may be sending someone purdy. My daughter will buy me one for a holiday at some point, too. I just hope I'm wrong, because I'd like to do a swap next year even if it's not until Halloween. I also have hope that what I have for sale will sell because paying less interest means paying less total. That would help us recover and possibly pay off the car faster. If that happens, I get a pony budget again.
So do not despair! @Skycakes where there's hope, there's life.

I know what you mean but I was hoping they would do the holiday swap this year. :/
