my brother and his wife collect various toys. mostly they have barbies (my sister-in-law's main focus, i assume) and japanese toys & dolls, but the last time i was over there i saw a couple g1s mixed in with some hello kitty figures.
Just me and my daughter. My husband collects Transformers, my son collects whatever Daddy is collecting and my dad collects Lionel trains. Most of us collect something, but there aren't a lot of girls in my family, so I'm pretty much on my own with ponies.
I tried to get my niece to start collecting, but she's a girly girl, and would rather be on the cell phone talking to her boyfriend and at cheerleading practice (and she's only 11!).
Nope, just my daughter and me but we have a lot of friends (hers and mine) tht like them and own them, only one other actualyl collects them though. I do have a few neices that have gotten them for their b-day from my daughter nad me but none that seem really interested in them sadly.
My future wife (we ca getting married in a month!!!!) collects CPKs, Heman and thundercats
My mother collects Live horses, My Childs and Breyers/Stones, and has collections of quilts, fenton baskets and whatnot
My father collects guitars both electric and accous. and he also colllects old 50s medal cars/boats/planes/pinball machines
Between the four of us we have 2 full houses/6 storage sheds/three garages...and two barns full...yikes
My cousin Josh, Tuxedo Mask, collect ponies as well. We like to go out looking for them together at thrift stores (never find any though). We have fun finding the G3s though. 8)
My little cousins (one is 2 & one is 4) kinda collect them. The 2 year old is having a MLP 3rd birthday party next month! My niece, who is 8 kinda collects them too. But none of them are like die hard collectors.
Up till recently, my sister collected MLP too (she has no money now, lol, and when she does it tends to go on clothes and dvds mostly) and Jem (ditto the above.) She actually got ME into Jem, in a roundabout way. She also has a cupboard full of carebears. Even though she doesn't buy them any more, she still loves them and she still kidnaps my baby ponies from time to time.
My Dad collects puppets - Pelham Puppets to be precise. Generally ones with the open/shut mouths - I don't know how many people here have heard of them but they were made by a factory over here in the UK from the fifties on and he had them as a kid the way I had MLP. He's very tolerant therefore of my ponies, even if he can't tell North Star from Cotton Candy.
My mother tells me she collects dust But honestly she collects books, when she's got the space to do it. And glassware - we often have to steer her past pretty glass stuff cos there just isn't the room in the house for it!!
First my aunt was very supportive and she went pony hunting with me, helped me pack, everything.... little by little she grew into them too! It all began when I gave her a spare Rainbow Flash I got and she put it in her room, then another extra... and yet another one... until then she began taking ponies I got in the mail and telling me to order some more for myself!
Now she buys ponies for herself and she enjoys them too!
Luckily I am the only one in my family who collects MLP, then I don´t have to share, and everyone keeps an eye out for ponies for me
My mom collects just about everything, stamps, postcards, Kinder figures, turtles and I think few other things.
My dad collects porceleine boots, and my dog collects dust.............
