Does anyone here have any experience curling synthetic dolly hair for a custom pony? For the life of me I can't seem to get any decent curls with this non-pony synthetic hair; if I use a curling iron it burns almost immediately and if I use traditional curlers it just comes out crimped. Anyone got any tips?

There was a post about that last week ^_~ If I remember right you should put the hair in thin curlers, soak them in boiling water for a couple of minutes, douse them in cold water then let them dry.

I tried larger curlers for about 20 seconds and got a nice wave.

For regular pony hair i didn't even have to boil the water. Just dipped their heads in the water let the hair dry on the curlers or what i used straws with bobby pins.

get a bowl of boiling water. dip pony heair in, comb straight on a twoel (so you don't get soaked). Wrap hair around cut peices of straw, fasten with bobby pin. dip again and let dry over night.

when compleatly dry carefully remove curlers, and you should have your very own sherly temple pony :)

Thanks guys, I just tried it on my first male adult male sea pony I've been working on and hopefully it'll work. I don't want him to have too curly hair, but a little 'bounce' will be helpful for his flat a** hair!
