got my pony in the freezer with a little sample of my christmas tree's tinsel wrapped around her neck like a scarf :) piccies tomorrow!
 
I'm so excited to start completing steps - I just finished putting my pony in the freezer! I wonder if she'll be ready by later tonight or if I'll have to wait until tomorrow, ha ha. I had to hunt around the house for some tinsel and happened to find some that has holly shapes on it as well! :D
 
I'm so excited this is happening, I was so bummed when the Halloween one didn't happen. (Kind of relieved at the same time though as it was kind of crazy). Have to go drag out the Christmas decorations; we were waiting until December, lol!
 
LOL Dragonlady another Halloween one was taxing my creativity just a bit too much! There's only so many ways to incorpate pumpkins lol! Glad to have people jumping in. I love love love the hunt it is so much fun.
 
I don't buy real trees and we have pets, so tinsel is too messy (not to mention pets eating tinsel.... no thanks LOL), but managed to find some that someone used as a filler for an old mug I got years ago in my Christmas stuff!!!

Lol that's the same thing that I did! I don't have any loose tinsel so I cut off part of a tinsel garland and gave Pony Bride a boa.

I am scared that the Pyrex dish I put her in was too shallow. I totally submerged her and everything, but most of my big dishes are housing Thanksgiving leftovers so all I had was one that's about 7x7x3.
 
I'm having some trouble, Bowtie floats! D:
I cant think of a way to keep her submerged long enough for the water to become ice, any ideas? :/

I had a really baity Bowtie that I used.... So I actually filled her with water to keep her submerged.......... I know... I'm so horrible..........
 
Fizzy the filling with water bit works best other wise freezer her in layers. Half fill the container with water and freeze then top up and back in she goes.

MLPMonny have you looked closely at my avatar? LOL! :laugh:

Here it is a bit bigger.

Koori was a year old (she's 8 now!) when this was taken and I am right next to her but she's always been good about my crazy antics. All my animals have been....just as well really.

GAH! I just checked up on my pony and she's almost done! Just another hour or 2 should do it. I topped up the water to get rid of any bubbles. She looks so good so far! :D
 
I tried to freeze in layers, the ice just floats in the water, too. D:

lol i did the boa tinsel thing too! I'm also freezing in layers, because I wanted her completely immersed and not sticking out the bottom. I sput ice cubes and really cold water in that i pre-cooled while I went tinsel shopping - ours got so ratty I threw it all out last year - if only I knew it would be recycleable!
 
mines's done, but I'm going to have to redo her. she's totally in ice, but the way the bubbles formed around her makes her nose look like it's sticking out of the ice. if I take a top shot, you can see that she's actually 100% in, but we only submit one picture, and I feel like a top shot isn't in the spirit of the hunt. gonna let her thaw out and try again this afternoon.
 
I have mine done. No tinsel or anything. I was trying to put a broccoli in there but it didn't want to sink nicely :lol:

mine was frozen on the outside last time i checked... but had water swishing around in there still... I'm a touch worried I wont get her out of the container!
 
Finally got my pony out of the container and put up a photo in the other thread! I love the way she looks from the back, though:

Her tail is so swooshy! I love it. :)
I`ll probably take more picture of her as she melts out of that plastic container shape, ha ha ha.
