Here's my monthly production of custom ponies for the month of May~

Craft descriptions will be posted for the commissioned ones only, the descripts for the sales ones will be located in their respective sales threads linked~

All commissioned requests were conducted through Facebook this time~
FB is my main hot selling place for clients these days it seems

Canadian flag pony

Commissioned request inspired by a old trade I did back in 2009 to make a Canadian flag themed custom pony along with a request to make a custom pony based on a theme of the Canadian Toronto baseball team the Blue Jays, in Alomar’s jersey.

Base is a generation 3 white earth pony pose I stripped the original cutie mark off with Acetone. Painted the eyes, cutie mark(s) and embellished all the everythings

For the eyes, decided to stick with a monochromatic green scale.Embellished all the more the everythings

Mane and tail re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors candy apple, custom blended vampirekiss/cherry pie, then RetrodollUS’s nylon red Uluru, and saran white Frost Bite.

Toronto Blue Jays Alomar

Requested pony base is a generation 1 male. Coated his body and head plastic in Gesso to create a texture for the acrylic paint to bond to. Painted his eyes Hasbro-style in my own style of layering pigments, then for the cutie marks I used Alomar’s name, # and team name from his jersey. Painted the fetlocks/hooves to match his eye features, all paint work sealed in artists varnish.

Mane and tail are re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon hair in the color Lapis Sapphire blue that’s an exact match to the new blue paint I used on his cutie marks, and a wide white stripe of hair from a BJD wig I have left over. Did the mod podge, plug and wire method for the white, and rooted the blue mane with the re-hair tool.

Hat is hand-stitched from dyed blue leather, painted the Blue Jays logo on with acrylic paints.

To match hat, hand-stitched a leather jacket. Started with the white sleeves- cut from authentic white leather. Cut wide navy blue ribbon and hand-stitched medium width white ribbon with thin pale blue ribbons over top, making 3 layers stitched. Stitched them to sleeves.

Cut the blue portion of the blue jacket from authentic dyed blue leather. Stitched white bias tape along the bottom hem, layered thin blue ribbon over top. Took the wide blue ribbon and folded it in half and stitched it along the neck line for the jacket collar.

Mitt, ball and bat were ordered by the customer on eBay, then mailed to me. Requested that I paint Alomar’s signature on the bat.

Commissioned request to make generation 1 pony Munchy as a generation 3 custom pony figure in roller waitress themed attire and details~
roller_waitress_munchy_by_lightningsilver_mana-d8t8z0d.jpg

Pony base is a custom engineered pose from two different generation 3 ponies.
Base coat of Gesso to give texture for the acrylics to bond to.
Full body repaint in chiffon pale yellow acrylic paints, Twice As Fancy symbol work painted true to Munchy’s but with some liberties to pigments to differentiate the colors of hotdogs, hamburgers and french fries.
Eyes painted in my realism/fusion style, colors true to Munchy’s but in my style.
All paint work sealed in Artists’s varnish, punctured the ears after painting and before starting the hair work.

Mane and tail re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors Dusty Rose (exact match for g1 Munchy) with some lighter pink pussycat nylon hair mixed in to give depth.

Attire- started with the collar and skirt. Collar piece is red/white striped ribbon stitched with a hem of white lace. Pale orange sheer scarf tied underneath it with a bow of pale pink dot textured ribbon to finish.
Skirt started with a crescent-shaped stitched piece of antique red/white paisley print fabric. Pleated some pale pink sheer material, stitched along the hem with some more white lace. Stitched some thin pale pink ribbon inside neutral green bias tape, hemmed that along the top of the skirt with some chartreuse bias tape stitched underneath the neutral.
Skirt is removable. Stitched a neutral pink pocket and glued tiny coins sticking out of it as “waitress Munchy’s tips” she collects!
Finished with two pink bows tied at each end and a orange pearl rhinestone next to the pocket.

Leggings- all hand-stitched layers of bias tape and maxi piping. Some yellow lace layered at the tops of the front legs.
Skates- started with cutting out the main pieces from beige real leather. Punched holes for stitching via leather puncher, and stitched them in place. Tied some white hemp cord at the tops for the laces and secured in place. Cut out the “soles” of the skates from real white leather, punched holes for stitching the skate wheels.
Skate wheels are pink beads glued onto cut pieces of toothpicks. They are stitched on to the soles, and secured with both Tacky glue and then Gorilla glue.
Lined the skates with white leather fringe strips.

Made her a nametag from card stock that reads “Your server: Munchy!” in ink pen.Earrings- peach drops are antique costume jewelry pieces I got from a swapmeet, I threaded them on floral wire and added red beads with tiny white beads and threaded through punctured holes I put in the ears via leather needle.Hair accessory- Started off with making a few pleats in some pale pink cotton material, lined the bottom with the white lace trim stitched some of the pale orange scarf material on one side, some yellow ribbon bows on the other. Stitched two cream-colored button on the front, painted stripes on one then glued red ribbon stripes on the other. Pinned a white beads in front and embellished the pieces in various rhinestones to finish.

Commissioned request to craft Cloud Strife as seen in the Play Station video game Final Fantasy VII, as a custom pony figurine with Sephiroth.

Pony base is an engineered pose from two different generation 3 pony bases- head of a core 7 clone pose, body of a jewel pose. Coated entire pony in Gesso to build a texture for the acrylic paint body color to adhere to.

Full body repaint job in flesh tone acrylics, eyes painted in my anime/realism fusion style. All paint sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane/tail re-rooted in RetrodollUS’s nylon pale yellow hair in the color Jonquil, Vanilla, and monofiber platinum blonde. Then Dollyhair’s orange passionfruit mlp nylon hair and yellow fever.

Attire- started off with the pants. Cut from a deep navy blue satin material then hand-stitched.Boots are cut from a brown faux leather material, lined at the tops with brown bias tap then tiny pieces of navy blue zipper on the fronts, thick brown leather for the soles.

Next I stitched the sleeveless turtleneck which is a brighter navyblue fabric with a ribbed texture.

Then the straps/belt were crafted. I cut his main belt from thick brown leather, painted the center emblem in acrylic paints and lined it in silver sterling metallic acrylic. I blended some dark brown over the top of the leather as well, glued down the silver rhinestones then sealed everything in mod podge.

Crafted the shoulder straps from real brown leather, stitched one end over pieces of thin brown hemp cord, fastened the hemp pieces under the main belt.

One-sided shoulder armor piece- cut from thin wide brown leather for the wide brown base piece, used leather hole puncher to punch holes where necessary for stitching the smaller piece of brown leather over top.

Used faux silver vinyl for the bottom layer of the armor, and a larger piece over top that I punched larger holes in then Krazy glued 4 cut pieces of wooden dowel then painted everything in gray and metallic silver acrylics.

Gloves/gauntlets- for the front left leg, I wrapped white ribbon around the leg then cut a piece of the faux brown leather then faux silver vinyl. Stitched light gray ribbon through the middle of the vinyl piece, lined it with flashy silver leather strips then glued silver, white and black rhinestones over the entire gauntlet piece, sealed in mod podge.

Right front leg- stitched wide black ribbon then the faux brown leather. Used the leather hole punch set on the largest setting, and punctured holes to make it look like “fingerless gloves”. Stitched another strip of pale gray ribbon near the top.

Embellished the belt with a string of “materia” as an accessory. Took black chain, and wired various beads ranging from plastic, glass, and possibly minerals.

Buster sword- cut the design of the blade from card stock paper, traced it onto thick real leather then two sides of the faux silver vinyl. Sandwiched the 3 pieces together and glued them. Glued a thick piece of leather around the top, lined it with silver leather strips. Did a light coating of sterling silver metallic acrylic over everything. Glued two transparent plastic green and yellow beads into the slot holes of the blade (punctured by leather tools) to resemble equipped materia.

Handle is a wooden dowel that I glued bright red ribbon around, burgundy ribbon then a layer of crimson red spiderweb lace trim. Gorilla-glued the handle to the blade, lined the top with silver wired trim then wrapped thick silver craft wire then a taupe ribbon at the top of the handle.

Sephiroth- pony base requested to be of generation 3 Starcatcher. Prepped head and body with a coat of Gesso to give a texture for my paint work to bond to.

Full body repaint job in fleshtone acrylics, eyes enlarged in my enlargement method then painted in my realism anime/fusion style. Added glow in the dark pigment to finish the eyes off. All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane & tail re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors cloudless sky pale gray, creamy white chocolate and saran Barbie hair in the pale blue called heartless.

Bangs permanently styled/hardened in my hair gel method.

Outfit- started with the pants. They are cut from a black velvet material, I used the inside. Cut the boots from black faux vinyl, stitched around thick black wire to give shape at the tops. Put thin black leather strips lining the soles then two strips of silver leather for detail. Painted bottom of hooves over magnet so he stands on a metal stand. Painted front hooves in black acrylics too.

Started torso details with the chest straps. Cut from black ribbon, stitched dark brown hemp cord detailing for loops. Then cut the belly piece from thick black leather, painted detail in acrylic paints. Cut the sleeves, coat train, and neck collar from the black faux vinyl, hand stitched. Detailed the sleeves with silver faux vinyl.

Shoulder armor- strips of silver faux leather on each side with painted black diamon studs.

Started the layered armor with thick leather, with the silver faux vinly layered underneath and over top, all hand stitched together.

Belt on coat is plastic stitched around a round silver piece.

Sephiroth’s sword- used the same thick leather I used for his shoulder armor and just used a long strip. Glued two strips of faux silver vinyl with a coat of sterling silver acrylics over top. Handle is a round wooden dowel I painted white then glued black ribbon around, wired it to a black bead, gorilla-glued the bead to the blade then secured the pieces with thick black wire wrapped around. Finished with some gold ribbon trim wrapped around.

Crafted Jenova’s head as an accessory, didn’t mean for her to turn out so large as a stand-alone piece, more like a trinket but this works better I think. Severed head is from a light brown fakie pony, I pulled the original hair out and cut out the eyes. Coated the head in gesso as usual and layered gray and silver acrylics over top then sealed. Krazy glued black and red beads inside the head for the eyes then re-rooted in the mane in dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors arctic frost, some off-white cream in a nameless package then a custom blend of stormy sky gray and blueberry muffin. Then I made all the coils sticking out from inside the neck and out the mane. All are crafted from various wires, roped tassles with wire wrapped around, somecolored metallic elastic cords, crimson red cobweb trim, and chains.

Then, I cut thin individual strips from beige leather, to hand-stitch brains. Hand-stitched all the little coils, stitched them together then pinned to the front of the mane and coated a layer of pink acrylics over top to finish.

Metal helmet is last piece. Cut from the silver faux vinyl, stitched to give shape then cut out a smaller plate for Jenova to be painted on in black acrylics, then some silver eyelets Krazy glued to the sides then round silver rhinestones to finish.

Blue chocobo freebie accessory-

Gifted this repeat customer with a free generation 4 chocobo custom pony, asked her their favorite color of chocobo! Purchased a transparent “water cutie” blue pony for this task, then removed all its hair and pried apart the body just enough to drain out the fluid that was inside of the pony and its confetti too.

I then inserted large pieces of shiny confetti in various hues of blues, and all are flowers and leafs.

Painted the eyes, beak and hind leg talons in acrylic paints, sealed them in Artists Varnish then glued bright blue feathers in the mane and tail then Krazy glued dark blue gem eyes.

Cut shiny blue fabric wings off of a generation 3 Starcatcher that I’m using for Cloud’s matching counterpart Sephiroth, and cut them down to a good shape and hand-stitched them to give them a desired shape. Pinned into the back of the pony I pried apart and glued down in place with Krazy glue. Embellished star rhinestones on the inner wings and over the original cutie mark. Head also glued back in with Krazy glue as I felt this type of glue would be the most sturdy for this pony, and the least visible.

Made blue chocobo a moogle pet companion riding on its back~ crafted from a mlp mouse that came with a generation 4 pony. Cut the ears and tail off of it, coated it in Gesso then painted it in acrylics, gave it white leather ears, wings and a white pearl rhinestone tail and Krazy glued the cute thing on the chocobo’s back.
