they have a texture reminiscent of macintosh (which is one of the apples used to crossbreed the honeycrisp), so they may be a bit too soft to go in pie.
 
My favorite apple is Johnagold, a hybrid of Johnathan apples & Golden Delicious.
 
Honey Crips sale today: $1.99 a pound - Woo Hoo! Yep - they're in the pic - My hair is still wet! My neighbor Rita took the pic for me - I had to dunk about 5 times to get the best pic!
I asked her about 4:45 when I was bringing my daughter to work and then she MY photographer ran off to the store to get dinner and drop off movies -chees! Then as the sun was setting and she was done with her dinner, then, then - that's when she decides to get the pic - not during great sunlight time - nooo! LOL she kept saying - I don't know if I got 3 apples in that one, maybe you should dunk again, then she became familiar with Apple Jack and kept saying Apple Jacks - LOL - so we had a half hour of laughs and she loves seeing what I am up to and said I brought some excitement to the area - so there!!!
We had lots of fun doing this one - Willow was right - it was fun!

I used the ones we had home.... ;)
 
mine were little empire apples. I tried eating one and didn't like it. too hard and tiny. put them outside for the wildlife after I got my pic :)
 
Someone ate my third apple! I told them i needed it. I'm kinda upset. 00)
Oh well. Unfortunately I wouldn't have any time tonight to do it. Better than nothing I guess!

I used my tub, cause I had to take a shower afterwards anyways :lol:

I used Gala's only because that is the only thing the kids will eat. :)
 
I'm using Gala, cause they were cheap. I should have it posted by tonight.

In fact I did this last yesterday and it was hilarious... lolzz. my friends were truly amazed to see that..
