Hey guys! I have a Baby Firefly that doesn't have glitter, but a painted cutie mark. I discussed it with some fellow Discord group members and the question of her being a German variation came up, as she has hair more like the German variation rather than her US release, who has bluer hair than mine. The thing is, she has hoof markings that may prove otherwise, and also her Cutie Mark has traces of glitter, hinting that it had been there at one point. We thought it could be paint or marker, but it looks factory done rather than by hand.

I don't know if this helps, but one of my sales babies came in with just a part of her glitter rubbed off. What was underneath looked just like that. So maybe just a USA with all the glitter rubbed off? I'm not an expert on variants for sure. It's interesting. : )

I agree! I saw an Ebay listing recently with it like that too. Maybe some just has that and it wasn't documented?

It's so hard to tell sometimes, maybe she is German? Have you checked the hooves marks with mylittlewiki.org for the variations? I know that not all are on there, but still found it to be the most comprehensive site for variants. I had one with only a few tiny pieces of glitter yet her bolts stayed nicely.

Well, I did check her hooves and they don't have the same markings as the German release.

A conundrum, then, as to wether or not an army must be started.

I've seen this before, but not with Baby Firefly. Some of the original baby ponies seem to have had their symbols painted on first, then glittered, while others seem to just have colored glitter stamped on. Maybe the glitter had rubbed off or perhaps a factory flaw. I had 2 baby Glory's a while ago that had these quirks, wish I kept pics for comparison. I've seen baby Surprise like this too.

baby glory, moondancer and firefly i've seen referred to as the german versions of the babies and they have painted symbols. the normal release ones just loose the glitter, i have had like 10 of them and some don't have any symbol at all.

i haven't seen any of them irl, what is the difference in markings under the feet?

I have the European version, the lightning bolt on your pony looks somewhat darker than on my version. I also took a pic of the hooves so you can compare to the stamps on yours.
