I bought this canvas print by the artist Michael Storrings. I love the style and would like to find some similar artists to find some more prints sort of like this one. I have no idea how to go about that though. I've tried searching with terms like, busy, village, town, primitive. I'm not even sure how to describe the style? I know we have some amazing artists here and I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask and see if anyone here had any recommendations of other artists with similar style that I could look into. Doesn't have to be water color or light up of course, this is just an idea. Thanks :)

I have always thought of him as Whimsical Modern if there is such a term. He is a classic with his art style. Perhaps if you like him just get more of his art. I am a Margaret Keane person. I could only afford one of her canvas pieces. So, I buy posters and greeting cards and make framed art out of them. I am not sure we have another artist that captures life quite like Storrings does. I would just do a search on Whimsical Artists and see if anything similar comes up. Quite often you will see a lot of real life objects in Whimsical art with a cartoon/illustration flare to them. I have no idea the true art terms. Sorry I am not much help.

There are many unknown artists out there. I suggest you check out deviant art or etsy. Sometimes, I just stumble upon a really good work of art I never seen before!
