Are we doing the Halloween swap again this year?

Iono if its too early but I wonder off hand sense there a month or so before Halloween if we were doing the swap like the last year or two.
I quite like doing them myself.
 
I was actually wondering this today myself, I was in a store and they had just put out the first of the halloween things. It's not a huge deal here, so I need to really get on it immediately if I participate, as there's not much stuff around!
 
I'm in as long as the budget doesn't go too high. Swaps are so fun!
 
Basically a group of us decide a budget then draw a random name and send that person a box with ponies/pony, and some themed extras like candy, other collectables, merchandise, etc. If you look at my wishlist, the bottom is about swaps.
 
Usually a Mod runs these swaps. They have like a 20.00-30.00 budget in which one pony from a person's wanted list is required to be sent and then extras like Tak said. For a Halloween swap you would want to include Halloween items that your partner would like based on their interests. Questions are asked about likes and dislikes regarding Halloween items. There are usually requirements to join these swaps such as membership in the Trading Post for a certain period of time, feedback ratings, trading or past swap reputation and the like. Your partner is a secret and you are given the name of your partner by the swap host. Hopefully a Mod will drop by and at least let you guys know if they are going to run this swap this year. If they are not then someone else can be the swap host and start an official swap so others can join if they are interested.

You prepare your box according to a wishlist by your partner, you ship by a certain date and provide a tracking number of your shipped box to the swap host. You are also responsible for posting a wrapped gifts teaser photo which doesn't give your partner away and doesn't show the gifts only wrapped goodies. There is usually a timeline of when everything has to be done. It is important to post a brag when you get your box which is a photo of everything you received and thanking your partner for what they selected for you. Then feedback is left.

Ultimately, it is the swap host's discretion on who is eligible to join. I remember when I could not join anything. Before you know it, if you keep posting and remain active you will find there are a lot of fun activities you can join through the holiday season. Then if not this swap, there will be plenty of things for you to enjoy in your future. Usually there are photo contests, drawing contests and even a costume contest. Things are a bit quiet as far as activities lately on the forum, but I am pretty sure there will still be some fun activities coming up soon. I tagged a Mod to this thread so maybe they can give us heads up on what might be in the planning stages for this fun time of year.
