Anyone ever have a package stolen from their house

Sadly that is not the case. The post office has check and all the items that were stolen are gone and were not miss sent to the other post office. I put a do not deliver notice with my post I am suppose to get a note saying when I have something in.

So yeah the other items are gone for good. So that is that I guess.

Ah darn... :( Was hoping that could have been the solution. :cry2:

Fudge and fiddlesticks. I was hoping for a Christmas style happy ending. Fooey.

Mean people suck. :madpony:

I think my neighbor think I am the creepy person staring out the window all the time. I just got two of those light up reindeer and I am scared some one will still them or any of my paper mail.

I am really hoping by new years all this worrying over ever item of mail I am looking for will be gone.

I got a UPS package coming today so I am staking out my front door waiting for it lol. SO its a go for operation no one is getting my UPS package.

Yeah at this point I'd definitely not let them leave any packages on your door step. x____x

Our neighbor has a sign fixed on his door telling ups to deliver his packages to a different address, and to not leave packages on the doorstep of his apartment~

You could try something like that, not sure if you could leave a sign up saying "don't leave packages on door step, take back to post office please" if you don't have a safer or alternate address they could deliver them to. :smilepony:

There's a lot of theft in our complex, and I'm dead serious when it comes to how my mail is delivered. No way is secure at our place so I make sure the ups and p.o. have proper instructions~

This has happened to me

Before we were in the house. My apartment would just leave everything down by the door and i have had packages stolen either that or they just never showed up which i really didn't believe because i did have them tracked. We had also complained about our mail person before bc our magazines would come to our door and they would be in an "apple pie order" opened and the perfume inserts would be ripped open. So it had looked as if they had already read it then delivered it. I took pictures of our cosmo and vogue and sent both to the corporations so they could see just exactly how their products were being delivered. We were not impressed:shockpony:

I always get super worried that my package will be stolen or lost in the mail. Especially since I order so many things and expensive ones all the time. I worry my luck will run out, and it has on some things(thankfully only was a cheap wig and not a big item). One time my package was delivered to the wrong house, but they brought it over when they saw the address wasn't theirs.

I would be sure to request Registered Post or a service where a signature on delivery is required. For the extra couple of dollars it is certainly worth it. Also some extra cover/insurance to cover the value for loss /damage is also something that could be considered.

Well sometimes the signature isn't offered by the seller(it was an ebay thing) and most of the time I do make sure my items are insured. I always do it when sending out items and tracking and stuff to make sure my item makes it safely to their new owner. Still I do get worried if something is lost, even if insured, because what if it was rare? And I heard the post loooves to fight like crazy on when something insured does get lost.

That sucks. I'm sorry. I orderd a $100 kindle fire one time and it never appeared on the doorstep. The post office manager kept saying he would take care of it, and we filed three claims, but apparently they marked the package as "delivered" so they took no responsibiliy for it. Theft is not that common out here, but we constantly get other people's packages. I am almost positive that the postal person delivered it to the wrong house, scanned it, and whoever got it decided to open and keep it. Nothing ever came of it, and ebay wouldn't honor the money back guarantee because I purchased it under "guest" paypal user (stupid me). We did raise such a huge stink about it at the post office, however, because now the postal person is careful to hide the package behind our planters for us.

I hope that ebay can refund your money at least. Don't let it ruin your holiday, though! Remember, there is always yule log cake!
