Hi! I've been lurking on this forum for a little over a month now, and I'm finally taking the plunge. This place seems so fun!

My pony collection only started recently. I was a kid in the G3 era, and I was really into the first few years. My childhood collection sadly got passed down to a family friend many years ago, but after finding a Sparkleworks at a local antique store, my love was instantly rekindled. I made it my mission to reassemble my childhood pony dream team, and I'm very happy to report that I've almost got everybody back!

If only it could have stayed so simple. Outside of the cartoon, I did not have any exposure to G1 as I was growing up. Logically, I knew the toys existed, but by the time I was deep into my Pony obsession, those original G1 toys were already being hunted by collectors. They weren't the kinds of things that turned up at Goodwill. It was only a few weeks ago that I really started looking at G1 toys for the first time.

...I already own five of them now. What can I say? They're addicting!

My heart will forever lie with the G3 ponies, but I can't deny that I'm growing an affinity for the G1s too! As for my collection goals, I don't really have any. I'm just searching out whatever ponies make me the happiest. I'm sure that one day I'll go for a complete set of something, but right now, my collection is still small enough to fit comfortably inside a shoe box. It's still pretty new to me!

Hi there! :satisfied: It really is a fun site to be a part of, I only joined in December and I already feel like I’ve made some friends here. So welcome:D
Also it’s too bad that you ended up giving away your pony’s, my sister did the same thing. But yay that you have most of them back now!

My girl's favorite pokemon is eevee. ;)

Welcome! This is an awesome forum filled with many nice people!
G-3’s are my favorite to collect as well! Which pony is your favorite? Yes, I would agree that they get very addicting. Good luck with your pony hunting!

Welcome to the MLPTP! I grew up with the G1's and they're my fav but I have to admit some G2 and G3 catch my eye now and then.

As a kid, I thought Sunny Daze was the coolest pony there could ever be. She was in the first pony lot I bought after Sparkleworks, and I have to say, I still think she's a phenomenal design.

HOWEVER- in that same lot, there was a Golden Delicious and a Flutterbutter. They're both super simple, plain colored ponies with blonde hair, but something about them makes me really happy. I go back and forth on which one is my current favorite.

Welcome to the herd
