She is about 75% complete... but I need help... I have never been able to find a suitable buffer/ sander for Premo Sculpey... I need to match the sculpey feathers to the vinyl parts from the actual Siren figurine... (Don't worry, she was already messed up when I took her parts off) Do you have any suggestions? I thought sandpaper would be fine, but I am afraid I will botch her up beyond repair... do you have a grit suggestion?

This last pic is the way I hope she turns out. This is NOT the finished product... merely colored in Photoshop! PLZ LMK if you can help!!!

have you tried using hearty? it is very lightweight and air dries pretty strong.

If you don't blend it enough by the time you bake it, you can always sand it down afterwards. I use both a Medium and an extra fine grit sandpaper sponge which really contour to a ponies body nicely. You can get those at any Home Depot or Walmart in their Paint Department. The sponges are also used for Drywall. It works really nice on ponies and may be able to work for you as it works for me. Happy Customizing! :D

Your custom looks pretty. I can't wait to see it when its finished.

LOVE FF8, LOVE siren!

LOVE Shiva better, but anywho, gorgeous custom!

If you have a Harbor Freight store nearby, (maybe even online, I haven't checked there) you can get a Dremel knockoff (rotary tool) for around $8 WITH a whole slew of bits, sanders, etc. in a plastic case and all.

Hold up - here's the link:

I have this little jewel and I use it for plastic (heavier than ponies), styrofoam, etc. and it's been wonderful so far! Great little tool.

I don't really have any helpful tips, I just wanted to say that your custom looks incredible so far, and your conceptual colors for the finished pony are stunning. I can't wait to see her when you're done!

WOW

That pony is so cool. I've never seen anything like that. I can't wait to see the real finished product. I hope you get the advice/help you needed?

You've got to post pics as soon as she is finished!
