if flutters are coming out, and this retro line is clearly made for collectors, then I see no reason as to why their wings needed to be made thicker, if they're going to stay in their box, rather than be for play and roughousing

Collectors were the ones who complained about the wings' fragility. The Basic Fun! reps did mention that they were aware of that problem in the originals and were developing a solution.

I don't like leaving them in the box.... I like to play, brush, pose, and love.

I am a G1 collector and I will be buying the flutter ponies when they come out. At the very least, one will come out of the box. I am SO excited to have a new flutter and put her wings in for the first time again! I can’t flaming wait.
I will literally die and go to heaven if they release Big Brothers. Like for real. I never got them as a child and would love love love to get one and open him up fresh and new... :D

If they have forget me not, I'll find a way. She was the one I made the most memories with as a kid. <3

The G1 Ponies the only Toy Worth buying.

the reboot clones are not worth the time or the dime.

You can never beat the original no matter how hard you try.

i like the flutter ponies...only got a few hope they bring out the one with red hair she is my grail.

I've been so out of the pony loop. I love all these retro ponies.

My husband bought almost all of the Collectors pose ponies for me around Christmas. It was really awesome being excited about ponies again!

I really hope they make babies! <3

Are they planning on updating all of them? Or only some of them?

Some. There's far too many to make all of them. And I notice that anyone who does repros of the g1s seem to prefer sticking with the basic sets. Its the first time I've seen anyone tackling a gimmicked set like flutter ponies.

It's my understanding that the Flutter Ponies pictured are actually originals with different wings. Basic Fun! doesn't yet have licensing approval for them from Hasbro. The box shown just has a paper cutout inside.

If anyone is missing the first wave of Year One, I spotted a bunch at Kohl's. Still ten bucks, so no discount, but it's nice to know they're still out there. I have to find a Cotton Candy. I found I don't have one thought I thought I did. Duh.
The ones you found at Kohl's... were they in the toy section?

I gotta agree. They're bigger, making them more pleasing to hold and play with (if need be), less likely to lose, have better quality hair, more variety of poses, and characters. You can't beat g1.
