My Little Pony: The Retro Show

Throwback Thursday just got totally PONIFIED! Travel back to a time of scrunchies and slap bracelets with My Little Pony: The Retro Show! Tapping into our heritage with 80s and 90s-inspired videos, Pop Up Pony gives fans a peek behind the curtain of music videos from the original series, Behind the Magic takes a retrospective look at iconic My Little Pony characters from the 80s, and some special surprise episodes will pay homage to totally tubular friends.

I'm happy their giving G3 some love but I was hoping for something good if they re-release all the G3 the price will go down on my pony which makes me sad I kinda wish they came out with something new versus re-releasing old like hard to find playset

I definitely agree. Since they aren’t really that hard to find, why are they remaking the same ones? A new play set or something would be fun as I am a big fan of g-3.
These look different though! Rainbow dash looks better than her original release. I'm just happy g3 is getting love again.

New show episode!
I'm not sure if this belongs here because they've gone with a g4 slant this time around... But I do suggest changing the show title in the opening post. ThrowbackThursday is just a common trend, the show seems to be called either Pop Up Pony (description) or My Little Pony: The Retro Show (title, title screen).
Interestingly they seem to have used whole new animations to make this video; the scenes are pretty generic but none are recognisable from the show, and I have a pretty encyclopedic knowledge, haha. The backgrounds and models are borrowed, but someone pointed out that many are from Equestria Girls and not the main show. You can also see that Rarity's model wasn't "cleaned up" to show standard in post, by the way her horn attaches.
I'm not sure what else to note because I've never seen the show this is referencing.

I can't seem to find listings on Hasbro Pulse for Pearly Twilight. Or any of this year's SDCC offerings for that matter.

So the G3 classics are straight from Hasbro themselves? There was a lot of discussion over who was making them. Glad to see that cleared up, and that it won't effect the Basic Fun G1 lines.

The G3 classics really have me excited!

Ooh! Where did you find that out?
