How does it work?
  • Each participant will color one of the images below either using digital means (photoshop, gimp, MS Paint, etc) OR using traditional materials (pencils, crayons, markers, etc).
  • All photos will be uploaded together and voted on anonymously by the moderators.
  • There will be a prize for:
    • First Place: Digital
    • First Place: Traditional
    • Random Draw of all participants, not including winners.
  • ONE ENTRY PER PERSON PER CATEGORY. But you can color as many as you want for fun! :winkpony:


Requirements to join:
  • If you can get the image to MustBeJewel online, you can join! :smile:


How Do I Join?

Send a PM to @MustBeJewel with the following:
  • Your digital image in a resolution at least 500 pixels tall

OR
  • A photograph or scan of your traditional image at least 500 pixels tall


So what do I win??

Here are the two images to choose from, scanned and refined from an original My Little Pony Christmas Treats coloring book. Links to larger files and layered PSD files will be included also.

You may change the symbols on the ponies but please do not make drastic edits (changing body types, adding parts, etc), as we want to preserve the original artwork being used. :smile:

This is going to be a ton of fun! I better break out my Crayola's :D
 
Would cutting most of the hair lines while keeping the shape of the hair be considered to much of a deviation from the drawing?

I'd like to do one of these on Inkscape, but that's an awful lot of hair lines.
 
I just printed mine out (I'm so on the ball... lol) and realized I used green paper once I got into a room with better lighting. I suppose I better go find some white!

I'm also really glad I have an extra day! The only person who knows how to use the scanner is my partner and he doesn't get home until tomorrow morning.
 
Since this has been extended, maybe I will join! I haven't done art in a long time, and I miss it. :] The lineart is beautiful!
