2011 MLP Fair Wrap up! Share your photos & memories in Show & Tell!

My niece and I had a great time at the fair. It was so great to meet some of ya'll in person. I hope it's close enough that I can go next year. :)

totaly worth the multiple trips on the greyhound, plus i hope my suitcases dont pop open
 
Got home, still a little loopy from lack of sleep.

Had a BLAST at the fair though. Great meeting people new and old!
 
Getting ready to leave and make the 8-10 hour drive back home. I don't go back to work until Wed. so hopefully tomorrow I can take some pictures of all my awesome finds!
 
I am back at work right now. So sad... but the fair was really fun.
Have a few complaints here and there, but overall I had a great time!
(I found it a bit silly, that Hasbro offered the sandwich bar for $10 or whatever it was, but didn't really provide a place for people to sit down. There were some picnic tables around but we were not allowed to use them. Oh well.)

Back to normal life now! :-(

i got back late last night after major delays at customs again.

i took picture of my haul and posted them to facebook so i just got to post them here.

yeah paying 10 bucks for a kaeser sandwich is a bit high but it was more like paying for the ease of not having to go look for lunch.

My group and I bought sandwich fixings the night before and brought that in.
Peanut butter and jelly! :lol:

I thought that $10 included a salad, sandwich and dessert?

I walked down the street to a dive-y awesome sandwich place, and had a yummy meatball sandwich!
 
There was a yummy green salad with sun dried tomatoes and pepper rings (loaded up on that), chicken salad, another pile of meat salad (Maybe tuna?) several kinds of lunch meats, some kind of brownie looking things (I avoided them lol) and water. There was some other stuff as well, but I dont remember what it was. For $10 and not having to go find lunch and leave the room, it was pretty decent (although a divey good sandwich place sounds great! next time... lol)

We had a blast. :) I'm sooo not cut out for the frazzlement of booth setting up and taking down. What a cranky a@@ I is...poor DB lol But that aside, the best of all was getting to meet so many of you with whom I've spoken and traded with/bought from over the past couple years, and seeing all the "old faces" again. :)

And OH MY THE COSTUMES WERE OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!

Hope to post some pics later in the main forum etc.

Now off to see what pics others have posted

I had a great time this weekend =D Although I think the road trip up there and back with whippet contained some of the greatest highlights XD

the lunch was big with lots of choices but it just had stuff i dont eat in it, dont get me wrong the kaser was great.

i didnt even know there was anything else around there but then again im glad i didnt have to go searching on foot

i loved meeting people i have been talking to forerver

Hello all!

Oh I had SO much fun at the fair and I also met alot of really, really nice people. I'm not on here much because I work so much but I'm going to try and make an effort to start coming on here more often. Everyone is so nice! Oh and I wanted to apologize......I met a really nice girl from CT (sorry can't remember your name) and I wanted to clarify that on the pony finders and the arena I'm firefly but on this I'm firefly1085. It's been so long I completely forgot! So I wanted to say sorry for the confusion to the girl I met from CT at the fair. Hope you see this!!!!

I also took some great pics and I'm hoping to have them posted this week sometime. :)

Lol....yeah I was there. But I didn't know I was going until the last minute. Plus, I didn't have a name tag. I was the one with a 12 year old and a stroller. lol. I wish I knew you had made the long trip up here Rist. I would have loved to have met you in person. :)
 
I had an awesome time at the fair as well. It was nice to once again hang out with the people that I -may- get to see once a year if I'm lucky (or twice if they help prepare for the MD meet :p). Plus I got to room with Willow, which was super fun... and thanks to her for letting me crash in her room.. now I need monies so I can pay her back >.> I can't wait for the next announcement for where next year's fair will be. I've decided that even if it's on the west coast next year, I'm still gonna try and go because I had so much fun at the fair this year. I had been rolling Kentucky around in my mind for a while, but had decided I couldn't afford it, so it was nice to be able to get there for Rhode Island.
 
I was just wondering if anyone knows what, if anything, was planned for the video footage that was taken? I know myself and some others were interviewed on Friday.
Just curious if that was going to be part of some dvd or youtube vid put out by Hasbro...?
 
That's a good question Willow. I was actually wondering that myself (although I didn't get interviewed) but I saw that people were getting interviewed all day at the fair and I was curious.............:cheshire::monkeydance:
 
i got interviewed to and i asked the guy and he just said "it is for hasbro". it was weird and i was all like "oh boy..." LOL

loved the fair i got a ton of stuff and didnt have to pay shipping
