As a wedding gift for ROCKY (very late gift, but I try...lol) I made her a pony that represents her wedding. The hair matches her wedding colors of pink, white, and blue and the symbol is a 3-D rendition of the flowers used for her bridal and bridesmaid's bouquets. White lillies and blue and pink roses with ribbons and strings of pearls. The hoof symbol is a blue heart with handpainted lillies and roses around it. I purposely made it look like the shape of a butterfly as ROCKY had a beautiful butterfly headpiece to hold her veil.

This second custom for ROCKY is a Merry Go Round pony representing the Galveston marine park Sea-Arama. I will let her tell ya'll all about the park when she see's this topic ;) The display side is the view of the entrance of the ruins of this shut down park and the reverse side is of the main tank with Mamuk the whale performing. The neck pieces show the Sea-Arama logo. ROCKY won this custom commission as a prize awarded at the 2005 Texas Pony Meet.

Sea-Arama Marineworld
Opened in 1966 closed in 1988 due to the opening of the "New" Sea World San Antonio. It was one of the first marinelife parks of its kind in the USA. Marineland in Florida is the very first. It had dolphins, whales, seals ,sharks, exotic birds, waterskiers and much more. It was left alone for dead when it closed and was pretty much forgotton.
A book mentions it as "Galveston's Colluseum" Still standing after so many years alone. I DID NOT go there when it was open. so the reasoning as to why i fell in love with the place is unknown to me...i just love it, for what it was AND for what it is. because i never knew it the way it was when it was open. But i genuinely love the place and want to keep its memory alive. I have a quite large collection of old Sea-Arama memorabilia and my pony fits in perfectly with them.
My avatar for this board is the Sea-arama Logo!!!
and my pony persona wears a sea-arama necklace
And I consider myself a Sea-arama historian. if you have any questions about it i would be quite happy to talk your ears off...just ask woosie.

The ponies are soooooooo pretty in person and i just love them.

Guh....they're gorgeous as usuall. You're just so masterful with that sculpy! *drools*

I love the wedding custom! When I get a color-scheme figured out for my wedding (we've had to push the date back a bit, due to some unforseen financial difficulties) I'm definately going to ask you about one again!
