I just found my 1st ever G1 at a thrift store! (I found a G2 once and a G3 once)
I went to a little church thrift store today, as the Goodwills and Salvation Armies here throw away toys instead of selling them usually, and they're expensive when they do have Barbies or somesuch. I found my 1 G3 find at this place (for $0.50, a Pinkie Pie) and though it's out of the way for me I was driving by anyhow, so I stopped in. I found a SS Wind Whistler, also for only $0.50! She's in great shape, still has very pink smooth hair and no trims or tailrust, only 1 tiny flocking rub on 1 hoof and 2 tiny missing spots on 1 wing- they're about as big as a big pencil lead. She does have a couple glue splotches along her neck, and the glue looks discolored a little on her rump and hind legs. I'll post a pic after she dries from the hair conditioning!
She will be for sale or trade.
EDIT: here's the pic semi-dry. She doesn't have an eyerub; must be glare. The rubs are on the other side; wanted to show the glue splotch.
They also had a Baby Nursery, looked kind of rough but had some accessories, they wanted $6.50 for it though and I didn't have that much. I can go back if anyone is interested in it.
