Pony base is an engineered pose from two different generation 3 ponies.

Did a base coat of Gesso for the acrylic paint to adhere to, then layered several layers of antique white acrylic paint for the body color. Eyes painted in my anime/realism-fusion style. Legs painted black.

All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane and tail re-rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in the colors Raincloud, White Chocolate and a custom blend of Stormy Sky & Blueberry Muffin.

Mane hardened in my hair gel method.

Outfit hand-stitched in thin black patent vinyl with gray zipper detailing, pants and outfit torso detailed in black bias tape with hemp cord, thin strips of black leather with black and silver buckles I shaped from thick wire. Shoulder armor is thick authentic leather with black bias tape lining them.

Ball of material accessory- a bead wired to black chain that’s fastened to the pony~

Kadaj’s sword- started with cutting a strip of black thick belt leather, then traced it onto two sides of silver patent vinyl, then sandwiched the belt leather between the vinyl pieces, glued them all together.

Then the hilt- found a transparent plastic square button with two holes in it, tied white and blue pieces of ribbon through the 2 holes, then painted the button off-white cream then sealed in Tacky Glue. Cut a piece of wooden dowel for the handle, painted that white also then fastened the hilt to the sword and the handle with one length of floral wire. Glued 2 strips of the blue ribbon down each side of the handle, then wrapped navy blue sewing thread around the entire handle.

I always love to see you customs. They are so fab :D. I love the outfit! And the whole pony ;). Awesome work again! :)

awesome just wow

Beautiful work as always!

I have a question though... how on earth do you pack these to ship without mucking up their hair? Does the gel protect the styling?

The hair is permanently styled that way, as well as permanently hardened~

Typically wrap the hair around the pony the shape it is the best I can, then encase the entire pony in bubble wrap. I'll then fit it in the box, and add additional packaging (usually the larger packing bubbles that are rectangular shaped) all in the empty spaces.

If there is a very specific hair style, I'll put smaller pieces of packaging (such as peanuts or styrofoam) and carefully tape them around the hair to keep it in the direction it needs to stay in, then wrap bubble wrap around the taped-together styrofoam and then encase the entire pony with bubble wrap so everything stays in one spot and doesn't budge during the entire shipment.

Before taping the box shut, I always carefully shake it to see if I hear anything moving around, which if I do I add more packaging.
