Craft description:
Pony base is a engineered pose from two different generation 1 Sweet Heart Sister ponies. Material of the body prepped with Gesso, then several layers of flesh tone acrylics laid down for the full body repaint. Cutie mark is hand-painted, and was requested to be a princess crown since Serah’s name has been said to mean “princess”, and was requested to have a lightning bolt, with a tear-shaped gem with feathers surrounding.
Eyes hand-painted in my anime-fusion style. All paint work sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane and taile re-rooted in RetrodollUS’s nylon hair in the color Vanilla, and saran Frost Bite hair that I dyed pale pink at one point for a different project. So now it’s a glowing lavender-pink.
Rest of hair blend is Dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors Oyster Shell, Tiramisu and Dusty Rose.
Hair permanently hardened/styled in my hair gel method.
Pony tail accessory is an antique cluster of beads.

Made Serah’s silver cat earrings from the white leather, painted the cats on in gray acrylic, silver then silver glitter acrylics. Put rhinestones on the tips of the tails.

Outfit- started with the hind legs. Used a thin stretchy fabric for the lavender shoes, white authentic leather for the soles, white bias tape for the wrap-around detail, beige authentic leather for the top, with medium light purple bias tape for the laces on the front.
Leggings are a mauve cotton material with black bias tape stitched along the bottom hem. Gold ribbon trim detailing with white elastic bands along the tops, zig zag detail painted on gold trim via acrylic paint. A seam of burgundy ribbon with thinner brown ribbon stitched over top detail.

Next, the front legs. Same mauve cotton fabric with white bias tape stitched along the top. Large wide pale gray bias tape used for Serah’s gloves, detailed with black ribbon, thick black leather thread wrapped around, thin suede beige strips and painted leather for the black/yellow detail accessories.
Cut rectangles of the gold ribbon trim and stitched them to some thin beige suede for the upper leg band. Other leg’s upper leg accessory is painted patent vinyl fastened on top of 3 layered strips of gold leather.

Torso piece- Started with white leather. Stitched a center piece of mauve cotton material for the center detail, lined it with burgundy ribbon, fastened patent black vinyl painted in gold acrylic paint detailing. Fastened strips of the burgundy ribbon along the sides and under the belly, and added bright pink hemp cord along the hems of the ribbons.
Collar pieces- fastened a triangle of white leather to her front chest, wrapped bright pink bias tape around her neck and down the front of her chest with burgundy ribbon stitched over top.

Serah’s necklace- silver wire with a metal cone bead strung on, then a strip of silver leather wrapped around the wire, then a magenta/blue orb bead strung at the top, of which I hand-painted some silver detail on with acrylic paint. Used the same piece of wire to string a wedding ring on, and connected to a metallic pink chain adorning her neck.

Removable mini skirt- I made the skirt entirely removable so Serah’s cutie mark may be viewed.

Repeated the same mauve cotton fabric for the main skirt piece, stitched the bottom hem with white bias tape. Added snaps under the belly and above the tail for skirt removal.
Made white leather flaps, then lined the tops of them with white bias tape, then the rest of the hem with burgundy bias tape. Lined that with gold ribbon trim that’s detailed in the zig zag pattern via acrylic paint.
Crafted belt from olive green cob web lace trim. Painted it in 5-6 layers of dark yellow and gold acrylic paints, with a top layer of gold acryic paint. Lined the hems of this with the gold ribbon trim. Stitched to rest of the skirt.
Gold round details on one side of the belt are painted beads and rhinestones glued together and stitched to strips of the beige suede.
Pouch is hand-stitched from authentic white leather, black patent vinyl along the bottom with dark green mesh material glued over top. Entire pouch lined with the gold ribbon trim. Gold acrylic paint detail, black ribbon on top, a purple rectangle rhinestone in the middle with neon red and pink glitter acrylics over top. Hand-stitched to the belt, is removable with the rest of the skirt as one piece.

Rhinestones detailed throughout outfit to finish.

Serah’s sword and bow weapon accessories to accompany FFXIII-2 Serah custom pony~

Crafted from leather, plastic from pony packaging, flat wooden dowels for the handles, and various beads for details.
Started off drawing the shapes out on cardstock for patterns, pinning them to the leather and plastic then cutting out the layers. Painted the leather pieces, then sandwiched the painted leather between two layers of the plastic, and glued them together. Gorilla-glued the dowels and beads onto the leather pieces, used floral wire for the wings of the bow. Wired certain details to other pieces, painted the pieces for detail accuracy, and finished off with rhinestone detailing then sealed everything in Mod Podge.

Pony base is a generation 3 baby-sized pony with a base coat of Gesso, then flesh tone acrylics layered over top.

Cutie mark is a design requested by the customer, created by me. I call it a Lightning Rose Cloud. This version of the design is a black/blue/gray theme instead of the original blue/red/pink theme that Lightning custom has.

Eyes are hand-painted in my anime/realism-fusion style.

All paint work I sealed in Artists Varnish.

Mane/tail are re-rooted in Dollyhair’s nylon mlp hair in the colors Marshmallow, Dusty Rose, and Tiramisu. Then Dollyhair’s saran Barbie hair in the colors Sugarless Gum Pink and Fox Glove Lavender. Then RetrodollUS’s saran white hair called Frost Bite, custom-dyed with pink Rit Dye to create a pale pink pigment that is almost glowing lavender.

Hair permanently styled in my hair gel method.

Outfit-

Started with the stockings on hind legs. Took black material, hand-stitched X’s with beige-colored thread. Used shiny black patent vinyl for the shoes, used beige leather for the soles, lined the soles with 2 layers of pale gray leather with thick black leather thread detailing. Lined the stockings with red ribbon for detail.

Finished the accurate detail with the stray wing on Lumina’s foot, used black web trim material and glued it to transparent plastic from pony packaging and pinned it to Lumina’s foot.

Next layer of outfit is the skirt. Started with a sheer black scarf material, stitched black lace trim along the hem, then pleated all of it. Stitched top layer of detail of white bias tape with navy blue stitching, then two strips of red silk ribbon on the x pattern with two smaller white ribbon x’s stitched on then a strip of black bias tape with silver oval hoops stitched in place, then black ribbon stitched through the middle, and black bias tape pieces dangling down both sides.

Front left leg- base layer of a tan material with black lace stitched over top. Black feathers held in place via red ribbon with white hemp cord x’s detailing, blue feathers along the bottom of the piece lined with black ribbon.

Used two strips of black leather lace across the chest, then a black leather collar with metal pieces on them, and a silver metal feather stitched in the middle.

Over-coat- Took some very delicate off-black material with some delicate neutral red material, drew out a shape for the coat on card stock, pinned the card stock pattern to the black and red materials together. Stitched the two materials together along the edges of the cut-out, then removed the pins after stitching was completed and turned the whole piece inside-out. I then carefully ironed out the coat flat. Stitched black feathers along the collar.

Wing on left shoulder- Glued black cob web trim to transparent plastic from pony packaging, then pinned it to pony. Made 3 black leather strips for the extended pointed details. Stitched a black mesh lace pony tail holder in her ponytail.
