Commissioned request of the chocobo merchant from Final Fantasy XIII-2, Chocolina- created as a custom pony figure accompanied by her treasure chest accessory.

Chocolina’s pony base is a rearing generation 3 pose with original head. Base layer of Gesso on the entire head and body as a foundation for acrylic paint to adhere to.

Full body repaint in flesh tone acrylics, eyes & lips hand-painted in my anime/realism-fusion style, cutie mark was requested by customer and is of a chocobo.

Mane is re-rooted in dollyhair’s nylon pony hair in a custom blend of chocolate fudge and nut meg, then a highlight of carrot cake.
Took giant safety pin and pierced both her ears, then wired chain with faux sapphire gems I attached to the chains as her earrings.

Hat: hand-stitched from red leather. Cut holes so the pony ears could poke out, hand-stitched some shiny thin darker red leather for the beak, gold thread X’s for the eyes, and used a leather hole puncher to puncture holes in the hat for the feathers. Feathers are dyed feathers I purchased from the craft store.

Tail feathers- layered golden rod, pale peach, orange and a neutral red feathers glued together then glued into an enlarged tail hole of the pony. Lined the base of the tail feathers with a vibrant red feather to finish the look off.

Talon/feet/boot/leggings things- stitched brown faux leather, lined tops with strips of brown leather. Base of feet are thicker brown leather, I punctured large holes along the fronts to push the talons through.

Talons are cone-shaped beads I painted beige then wired together with floral wire. Poked them through the insides of the backs of the leather, stitched the ends of the floral wire inside the leather to keep the talons in place. Lined the soles of the boots with a strip of black leather my deceased dad gifted to me prior before his passing.

Painted the bottoms of the pony’s feet with metallic antique acrylic paint.

Front sleeves/wing feathers- Started with cutting the sleeves from red leather, stitched mauve hemp cording along the top hems for detailing, stitched metal wing emblems for detail.

Took the leather puncher and punched more holes along the bottom hem of the leather to poke the feathers through. Used pale peach and golden rod feathers, glued their bases inside of the leather. Painted acrylic yellow detail on the pale peach feathers. Finished the sleeves off with the neutral red feathers glued down to transition everything.

Bikini- because this has a cutie mark I wanted to remain displayed, I changed the design of the bikini and altered it to better fit a pony body. Took the chocobo heads from the bottom half of Chocolina’s bikini, and used just that panel for the entire piece. Placed the wings towards the shoulders of the pony to give the illusion of a bikini top. Cut the entire piece from a nice pumpkin orange fabric, glued it down on the pony then went in with metallic purple acrylic detailing.

Last details of this piece are the necklaces. Used real jewelry chains and glued blue plastic jewel and metallic blue stones to the piece, then a plastic white bead with a gem in the middle for the top most trinket, and glued tiny red feather tips to the back of it.

Chocolina is mounted on a giant metal washer I painted in a layer of Gesso for the paint to adhere to, then green acrylics and brown acrylics on the bottom. Filled the middle with dark green leather, lined it with green hemp cord.
Secured the bottom with a thin circle of brown leather.

Treasure chest- request by customer

Purchased a blank wooden treasure chest from craft store for under a dollar. Painted it in acrylic paint, lined the creases in the wood planks with black hemp cord. Painted chocobos on each side as requested.

Requested to be filled with treasures including a couple painted pony dolls, baby chocobo chick that I did some slight paint changes to, a mog doll of which I took a tiny rubber cat doll and painted it with acrylics then put a pin with red ball on its tip at the end.

Also requested, a carbuncle doll~ constructed completely from various beads and floral wire, then carefully painted in acrylic paints, sealed then detailed in laces, ribbon and rhinestones. Also painted a tiny plastic gauntlet cup metallic pewter, then a square bead to look like a brown box with white leather strip, ribbon and rhinestones detailing.
Also requested was a couple potion bottles. Painted one red for healing potion, and one green for Mana potion. Wrapped wire around them and detailed in rhinestones.

Also requested, is Lightning’s Crest and knife. Both are constructed from plastic, painted with acrylic paint. Knife has a leather pained handle.

Last item requested, was a cactuar. Constructed from green oval plastic beads wired together with floral wire, glued dark green leather for the body, detailed in hemp cord and rhinestones. Fastened him upsidedown inside the lid of the treasure chest as a fun creative liberty~

Rest of chest contents are various beads and antique jewelry items.

That is really cool! Rock-on!

WOW! So much detail! The Pony itself is an absolute work of art and the chest is just icing on the cake! ANYONE would be so proud to own this! ANYONE!

I am literally blown away!

D'aw, thanks~ ^////^

Added leather stitched chocobo claw to chest~
