Just out of curiosity, what was your best ever pony find? Whether it was at a carboot sale or in a charity/thrift shop, Id love to know what it was!

For me it was definitely a bag of g1's I found at a carboot sale. There was about 7 (I cant quite remember but there were quite a few) of them and I think we payed around £2 for the lot. It was a good 9-10 years ago, but its one carboot i remember clearly!

I haven't had any really super good finds, sadly. Usually if I find them it's online and I have to pay through the nose for them. :D

Totally worth it though. To get mah Pony Fix

On Letgo a year and a half ago, 13 G1 ponies for $5, including Sandcastle and Shovels, as well as Salty with his hat. I sold the hat and the twins (unfortunately only like 2 had sold for cheap on ebay recently so I sold them for less than half their value) and kept the rest. She also offered me her almost complete with box Dream Castle for free but I had no room or idea how to sell it.

Same here, but the satisfaction and excitement that comes with getting pony mail is definitely worth it! I've got quite a few parcels coming within the next few days and I'm so excited already!

Wow! I'm jealous haha! I never sell my ponies, I tell my dad that I buy them to sell on but i get too attached. He's definitely noticed by now but he never says anything about it!

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before in another thread but years ago I got lucky enough to find two Rosey Poseys in the same thrift store for a total of maybe $5. One of them (the one I kept, I gave the other one to my sis) is in mint condition and still has her hair in the original packaging!

I also found a near-mint TAF Dancing Butterflies and a TAF Baby Dancing Butterflies at a thrift store together for like...$4 for both.

I had some Dutch friends I met in Mexico buy some ponies for me. When they did, they would buy them in lots at thrift stores or wherever. They'd find them at great prices. One lot they bought me even contained a Greek Blossom. I think they had as much fun helping me try to complete my collection as I did.

Well, it isn't a great find, but I got a few G3s and some G4s yesterday. It's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick and any pony is a welcome treat!

A few years ago I found a Craigslist ad with someone selling a lot of 100 ponies for $80. Not only did I get a TON of ponies, the lot contained a Mimic, Red Roses, and a Caramel Crunch with perfect curls. :ponylove::ponylove::ponylove:

Wow! Were the Mimic and Red Roses in good shape, too? That's the kind of thing a collector only dreams of!

I found a mint Diamond Dreams at Value Village a few years ago. What's even better is she was bagged with a ballerina pony who I sold on so DD not only cost me nothing but I made $8 out of that purchase.

The next year around the same time of year I found another Diamond Dreams (not mint but not terrible) at the same store. That one I cleaned up and gave to one of my best pony collecting friends. Gotta share the pony love.

I don't see any G4 finds here, so I'll share mine! Back when G4 was born, a lot of the playsets were incredibly rare. When I was visiting Florida, I found seven Carousel Boutiques on a base. They were all on sale for $15 and they were going for $150-200 online at that time even though they had just come out. None of them were bonus packs that came with Starswirl (shame!) but it was still an awesome find.

From a local who wanted to unload her collection. I bought 57 ponies, including some European exclusives, boy ponies with hats/bandannas, and accessories (pony wear, original ribbons, birthday party set, etc) for $100. That purchase doubled my small collection overnight. And I'm still working through spa days for all of them. Most are done, but still some are patiently waiting in line. :)

I found a teeny tiny pony for 50c. Or the time I found a few mail orders at a thrift store. I was floored. I bought them right away. I think as a total I found 12 mail orders there at one point.

Probably the near complete Petite Pony buildings (all but the castle, if I remember correctly) and some extra Ponytail Ponies for $30 at the flea market about 10 years ago. I sold almost all of them off at the Nashville Pony Fair for way more than what I paid because I'm not focused on Petites right now.

My $15 baby Crumpet, which is probably relatively cheap for her. (She still covered in dried glue, haven't found a way to get it off.)

Not really a best pony find, but I got a lot for like 99 cents before shipping. They were baity, but I don't care about the quality of most of my ponies. Other then these, can't think of anything.

That I remember for now...

Wild find:
G1 Macau Blosscotch! And MO Moommy (yeeeeeeeeeeeears ago).

Mystery big lot (a total of maybe 50 ponies? Maybe during late 2007):
G1 German Raindrop o.o (plus Cutesaurus xD)

More recent:
G4 MIB Rarity with Carriage with bonus pony Star Swirl x 3 (sold one years ago).
G4 Loose and mint Star Swirl.

Rapunzel in a rubbermaid tote with Baby Sugarberry and a bunch of other ponies last year. $25 for all.
Rosey Posey for $2. Mimic for $2.00.
I used to be super hardcore into pony collecting, but had to give up much of my collection because of divorce. When I find them, I still get excited, but usually sell them - unless they are yellow or speak to me in some way.

Mimic at a thrift store, but she had a name written across her body on one side. I still ended up selling her for around $30 because I already have her. I also found TAF babies Love Melody and Sugarberry at a rummage sale for about $0.50 each. I managed to nab Lil Sweetcake in a lot on eBay for like $15. I think she came to all of $3-5 total in great condition. Found an MOC Lil Litters My Little Puppy set at a flea market for $0.50.
