Have you ever had a pony with forelock trouble? I cannot get this little girl's forrlock to stay down. I have wetted it so many times and rubber band it down, only to let it loose and poof! I'm not sure if I should try a blow dryer on low with it held down? What would you do?

Same here. I second the rubber band.

Hmm what a pain. My High Flyer's forelock won't go down either.

Have you tried wetting it down, then wrapping it in a paper towel?

Wrap it with a paper towel and secure it with a rubber band or something (you'll want it to be something that can withstand heat and not stain). Pour boiling water over it. Wait until it dries completely to remove the paper towel. This usually works quite well for me.

I will give that a try!

I do this process only, I leave it set for a month before I take it apart. In extreme cases I have used hair gel too to keep the fly aways all together for that month. Only one pony did not seem to respond to anything I had done. Sometimes they look good and revert back.

Like Alfalfa's cow lick. :winkpony:

LOL this exact pony, I'm sure I have photos someplace, I remember because I did her tail with a toothbrush! I wet her hair with hot water, put paper towel over, and held it down with hair ties for about a month! She's gorgeous now, and she's even been in storage for a solid while at one point, and nothing shifted.

Edit: Found the photo! I must have taken it as a demo for someone, because I've already taken the paper towel off, and her hair is dry. I must have re-positioned the band and toothbrush without the paper beneath, just to show what I did. remember though, to prevent any rubbing or colour transfer, use the paper towel!!

(sorry guys if this doesn't work, Imgur wouldn't upload it, so I used the one already in my photobucket. If it goes gunky I'll remove it!)

Gorgeous! Plus she's advocating for good dental hygene.

Ha ha maybe, it could just be a tub scrub brush for a pony bum. After all I use them for pony bum rust all of the time. Baaaaaaaaa If you wanna brush your teeth with that after it is over be my guest.

:lolpony: Lets hope that bum was lemony fresh!

Lol! My guest bathroom ran out of toothbrushes the other weekend, and my cousin asked if I had any other toothbrush she could use, I was like, 'I have, but you don't want it!' I'd last used it to scrub the mold out of the inside of a pony, and on the bum rust!

It's a pony brush now, but I think at the time it may have actually been my toothbrush, but it had a round handle, and I had an aha! moment, so I got a new one and gave that one to her.. there was no way I was foregoing brushing my teeth while I waited for her tail to set!
