Welcome to the new My Little Pony Trading Post Forum

Looking into this for you. Can you also check your preferences to make sure you haven't turned off Conversations.
My conversations are on. I sent you a couple messages.

It's obvious that a ton of work was put into the site! Thank you for all your hard work and keeping the site alive for us!!! I'm not great with technology but I think I'll be able to figure this all out with some exploring.

I edited my post to remove my question as I figured out the answer :) I really like the box that comes up to let you edit a post!

StrawberryScoops, Just post here or in the shoutbox if you need help with anything :)

Ive attached a couple of screens showing how to start a conversation with a member, you don't need a send button anymore to start it off.

Firstly click on the members name and then the black box will pop up, click on "Start conversation". You will then be taken to the conversation page and a conversation will be started.

Type your message and then click "Start conversation"

Over to the right hand side you will see details of that conversation and will receive a little red popup in top RH Corner when you receive a reply. conversation.jpg conversation2.jpg

A question about PMs aka "conversations" in general.

It seems that you can edit a response after you've sent it?? If that's the case, what is to stop people from tinkering with their responses to make it seem like they did or didn't agree to something in a private sales conversation, or any private conversation that gets, for lack of a better word, testy?

That feature has been disabled due to the reasons you have stated. The edit was set to a 5min period after sending, I don't think edit was available after your message was received. To avoid confusion the function has now been removed.

In Conversations you do have a report option in there, you can also invite a "Mod" to participate in the conversation if you are encountering anything that isn't appropriate, testy, insulting etc.

The forum looks absolutely fantastic, you guys have done an incredible job on it! I love the new look! Thanks for all the effort you guys have put into keeping the Trading Post online and for giving it this beautiful facelift! I'm happy to be able to come back here and still feel 100% at home!

:lolpony::ponylove::tongue::winkpony::smile:

Thanks everyone!

It's so pretty and tidy looking! Are you guys sure you want some of us slobs (not me, she says from the stacks of junk surrounded her computer desk) want us running around, grubbing the place up?

:lolpony:

I should attend to the stacks of junk on my desk too. I see more paper here than actual desk LOL

Is there a way to watch a thread without getting an email notification for every post that's made, but once a day (like a digest of all the new posts from one day) like the old forum had? I haven't found that option yet if it's there, but I did like to use it. I prefer not to be notified by email of every single post that comes through, but without the once a day notification will need to actually come onto the forum to check things if I opt out of the email notifications. No biggie if that feature is gone, but like I said, if the "Daily digest" style email notification option is there, I've yet to find it :)

Does anyone know how to add a title to the subject line of your post?

Does anyone know how to add a title to the subject line of your post?

Slinky helped me figure out how to change the title of my sales thread, if that's what you mean? Open your thread and there should be a tab at the top right called "Thread Tools" hover over it and it should open the options, one of which is "Edit Title". Hope that helps. :)

I actually asked this question because the photo hunt has that rule about how text can only be in your subject line only. :lolpony:

So, I figured I would put it here because it's more about site usage. I remember on the old forum, people would put subjects on their individual posts all of the time, and not just the overall thread title. I never tried it though, so I don't really have an idea of how to do it on the revamped version of this site.

The new format doesn't have the ability to insert a seperate title to posts within a thread. Its possibly because the developers assumed that the thread was about the same topic and anything relating to that could be posted within the replies.

Curious if we have any word yet on a feedback system? I have done a couple transactions since the new format was installed and would like to leave great feedback for the buyers...

All feedback is preserved and still available from the old forums. We are currently looking into importing that across, there are a number of options being explored and as soon as those have been decided an announcement will be made.
